Meet the Founders

Nicholas Pothitakis, Co-Founder of Capsle Stories — The app for family stories

Nicholas Pothitakis

Co-Founder & CEO

The inspiration behind our app dates back to the heartfelt moments spent with my 94-year-old mother and her sisters. Captivated by their stories about family, immigration, first loves, faith, and childhood recollections, I embarked on a journey to preserve these precious narratives.

As the custodian of these invaluable tales, I faced a common challenge - the videos were too lengthy, covered various topics, and lacked a secure storage solution.

In search of a better way to immortalize these memories, Capsle Stories was born.

Co-Founder & Chief Product Officer

I had been working in the tech industry for 6 years when I met Nicholas. I was taken by the story behind Capsle Stories, and by the potential I saw in this product to leverage technical advances in service of connecting — really connecting — families.

I’m the mother of two, a 2 year old and 5 year old. We live 30 minutes north of my parents and 30 minutes west of my in-laws. I feel blessed that my children will grow up proximate to all four of their grandparents (and all three of their uncles, too!).

We’re building Capsle Stories to offer all families that same feeling of closeness. To give every family tools that make it easy to capture the unique wisdom and stories of our elders.
