How much does it cost?

$48 per year, billed annually. When you sign up for Premium, you will automatically be issued a 14-day free trial leading up to your 1-year subscription. You will not be billed at all if you cancel your annual subscription before the end of your free trial.

What do I need to get started?

Is there a free trial? Can I try the app before buying it?

Yes! Download the app to start your 14-day free trial. Your annual subscription will begin at the end of your 14-day trial period. If you change your mind during your trial period, simply cancel your subscription before the end of your 14-day free trial and you will not be charged.

Does everyone in my family need to buy Premium?

No. A Premium membership comes with three (3) free gift memberships that you can give away to your closest family and friends.

Who can see videos that I record?

Only people who you connect with on Capsle Stories can see your videos. You must explicitly approve someone’s connection request before they will be able to see your videos.

What devices can I use to record and watch videos?

Capsle Stories works on any iOS or Android device. The Capsle Stories app can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play.

Can I download my data?

Yes. The Capsle Stories app makes it easy to record and store video stories in response to questions, but you can download your videos to your device’s Camera Roll at any time. To protect your privacy, only the owner of a video can download it.

What happens to my data when my membership ends?

When your membership ends, you will have a 30-day grace period, after which all of the videos on your account will be deleted. If you would like continued access to your videos beyond the duration of your membership, we recommend downloading your videos to your own devices. To continue storing your videos with Capsle Stories beyond the 30-day grace period, you will need to renew your membership.

Does the app work outside of the United States?

Yes! All you need to get started is an iOS or Android device, and a phone number where you can receive text messages to verify your identify.

Will it work for my family members who don’t speak English?

Yes! You can send custom questions to family members in any language and record videos in any language. Your question bank, however, will only suggest questions in English, and our automatically generated questions are most relevant when you send questions and record videos in English. We are currently building more multi-language features and support.

Can I buy a Capsle Stories membership for someone as a gift?

You can buy a Premium membership for yourself, which will come with three (3) gift memberships that you can give to family or friends.
