How much does a subscription cost?

$99 per year when billed annually, or $14.99 per month when billed monthly. When you choose to annual billing, you will automatically be issued a 14-day free trial leading up to your 1-year subscription; you will not be billed at all if you cancel your annual subscription before the end of your free trial.

How do I get started?

Join the waitlist below. When we launch the app, you’ll be able to download the Capsle Stories mobile app on any iOS or Android device. You can purchase your start your 14-day free trial or start your subscription in the app.

Is there a free trial? Can I try the app before buying it?

Yes! If you opt for the annual billing, you will automatically be issued a 14-day free trial and your annual subscription will begin at the end of your 14-day trial period. If you change your mind during your trial period, simply cancel your subscription before the end of your 14-day free trial and you will not be charged.

Does everyone in my family need a subscription for this to work?

No! If you have a Capsle Stories subscription, you have access to a powerful, limitless question library that replenishes as you go. That means that as you send questions and as you and your family record videos, your question bank will automatically replenish with new, fresh questions that are personalized to your and your family. You can record responses to these questions, or create custom questions; or, you can send any question to anyone you invite or connect with on the app.

Your family members who do not need paid subscriptions in order to record responses to questions sent to them. But, if they do not have a paid subscription, they will not have direct access to the question library, and so they cannot send questions to other people or select or write their own questions for themselves.

Who can see videos that I record?

Only people who you connect with on Capsle Stories can see your videos. You must explicitly approve someone’s connection request before they will be able to see your videos.

What devices can I use to record and watch videos?

Capsle Stories works on any iOS or Android devices. The Capsle Stories app can be download from the App Store or Google Play.

Can I download my data?

Yes! After you record and upload a video to your account, you will we a button that allows you to download the video file to your device’s camera roll. Only the owner of the video can download it.

What happens to my data when my subscription ends?

When your subscription ends, you will have a 30-day grace period after which all of the videos on your account will be deleted. If you would like continued access to your videos beyond the duration of your subscription, we recommend downloading them to your own devices or renewing your subscription.

What happens to my data if I die?

If you have designated a legacy contact and if Capsle Stories becomes made aware of your death, then ownership of your account will automatically transfer to your legacy contact.

Will it work outside of the United States?

Yes!

Will it work for my family members who don’t speak English?

Yes! You can send custom questions to family members in any language and record videos in any language. Your question bank, however, will only suggest questions in English, and our automatically generated questions are most relevant when you send questions and record videos in English.

Can I buy a Capsle Stories subscription for someone as a gift?

We currently do not have built-in functionality to allow for one person to purchase a subscription on behalf of another. We recommend simply giving them money and a nice little hand-written card that specifies that they should use it to purchase a Capsle Stories subscription :)
